| Kate Grimes |
| New York-based actress Kate Grimes grew-up singing and performing musical theatre, which - after college and a 5 year stint in Paris - eventually led her to a 2 year Meisner program which changed everything. Her pursuit of the dramatic arts has had her pursuing TV, film and theatre here in NYC. She is also grateful to Abrams Artists for a successful commercial career. Having taken a break from theatre for a few years to raise a couple of boys, she's happy to be back at it - because, of course, it only takes a couple of years to raise them.... Some of her favorite stage experiences: 1.5 yrs with TITANIC VOICES with Ten Grand Productions / Jason Hewitt producing (Charlotre Collyer); Strawberry Festival winner Goodnight Lovin' Trail (Lee); and most recently REPORTER GIRL (Molly Slott/Mrs. Simms) with director Erica Gould. She made her off-Broadway debut with An Adult Evening of Shel SIlverstein at the Douglas Fairbanks Theatre. Favorite TV/Film projects: She played the Assistant District Attorney Tracy Spencer in the pilot THE DELEGATE/HOGAN'S PLACE (changed names...); if you squint you might see her as White House Press in WEST WING; the independant film KATIE'S WISH (Jennifer Holden), bring some tissues...; and MOURNING LAYLA in the title role with the remarkably talented Roz Coleman WIlliams directing. In addition to her studies with Joe Anania and Phil Gushee of the Neighborhood Playhouse, Kate has studied with Karen Kohlhaas, founder of the Atlantic Theatre, Charles Goforth of LAByrinth Theatre, Alice Spivak, Margie Haber, and the Maggie Flannigan Studio. Her love of music has recently come back into focus, writing songs, studying voice (Justin Stoney) and putting together an album in the next year. Feenix is such a dynamic, exciting group of creative DOERS - Kate is thrilled to be joining their road trip! Cant wait to see where it leads. Thanks for the opp! |
