Bill Macchio
Bill was born and raised in New Jersey.   He knew from an early start that he was
destined to be an actor.   From age five he was always entertaining his family with skits
and musical numbers, and continued to act all throughout his school life.   Bill pounded
the pavement of Broadway between 1972 and 1975 while at the same time performing in
local theater companies and reparatory groups.   He left live performance to pursue a
career in Law Enforcement which eventually took him back to the stage within the
Cresskill N.J. School System.   Bill would work with the students and direct them in skits
before the school community that gave the kids an opportunity to perform and at the
same time learn how to stay safe.   Bill was best known during this time of his life as
"McGruff" the crime dog, appearing at schools, parades and on Public Service
Announcements throughout N.J.

Bill made his way back to the live stage a few years prior to retiring from Law
Enforcement, as well as doing work in corporate films, independent films, and prime time
extra work.   Currently Bill sits as the President of the Little Firehouse Theater, home to
the Bergen County Players, a long running and talented theater company in Oradell, N.J.
At the Little Firehouse Theater, Bill has performed in over 20 main stage productions as
well as second stage productions and workshops.  He is thrilled to be a part of Feenix
Films where he hopes to continue to nurture his love for performing, as well as to bond
with new friends.
