Bobby Cannonnolli is a parole officer.  He is a Father. He is a Husband. He is a
man struggling to find his place in life.

At its heart "Nicky Newark" is the search for one’s own self worth.  It’s the
exploration of decisions that we all make in life that can keep us from finding our
true value and what is important to us.  Who does Bobby owe his loyalty to; His
Wife, His Boss, His Daughter, His Passion, or Himself?

Set the camera up and let the story unfold is the approach taken with this film;
something not explored too often in modern day big budget cinema.

“Nicky Newark” is a film done in the style of true independent films.  Pulling
heavily from the independent film hits of the 90's there are no huge budgets and
no big names, only actors living and inhabiting the characters
in order to tell the story and let it unfold.

Fall of 2008 was a very difficult time in America. In New York City – the epicenter of finance,
the streets were buzzing of the Lehman Brothers going bankrupt; young smart analysts out of
jobs; family-type firms firing long-standing employees; a stock market at suicidal lows; and an
election in November that was raising national tension levels to the point where many thought
it would either make or break the country.

In a rather successful real estate firm, Marianne Quinn’s growing anxiety over her job, her
security, her loneliness and her friends’ different paths seem to come to a head. Then she
opens the door to Jack. Jack-the seemingly opposite person that Marianne would ever
surround herself with-quickly becomes a yin to her yang. Both Jack and Mari find that they are
asking questions about each other and themselves, realizing that there’s no addiction quite
like attraction.

That’s it for them both – they are sold. And from here on in, it’s the two of them against
whatever anxiety, family, fear or crisis comes their way. But when opposites distract, how far
can they get without letting the differences divide?

Our Current Film
Lock-Load-Love is a humorously tinged vignette styled film that focuses on the
trials and tribulations of dating and trying to find love in our modern society.
The film opens by showing Ralph (Nick DeMatteo) and Nina (Kate McGrath) in
the all too familiar position of being the “third wheel”.   They quickly begin to take
action by signing up to the online dating website, matchdateharmony.com, and
their separate "adventures" begin.

Their dates range from comical to moving and everything in-between.  What
often appears one way on the surface is rarely what lies directly beneath it. Will
Ralph find true love, will Nina?  Is pushing to find love out of fear, despair, and
peer-pressure the right way or is a less frenzied approach the better one?
Ralph and Nina may discover the answers to those questions and learn some
things about life along the way.

What does it mean to be a good person? What does it mean
to be a bad one? Is anyone ever just one thing or are they all
shades of grey? CLANDESTINE will attempt to answer this
age old question dressed up in a modern morality drug tale.
In the end can we ever be just one thing?
